Brainstorming#1- On Zumar Sura

In The Name Of ALLAH


What is the meaning of "Zumar" by itself? Zumar means ...groups....OK! then why is this surah called Zumar why not "Din Khales" or so?


This surah starts with reminding and assuring us that this Holy Book verily descended by Allah, the Source of Wisdom Supreme power.Why should there be emphasized on this point while it seems so clear? Is it because of the following important points being considered from the Source of Truth mentioned in this surah?


 It seems "Din Khales and being Mokhles"( that is, the pure Religion >of monotheism<and  sincerely worshiping) is emphasized here in the Sura. If so, then how is it possible to purify our beliefs and actions in accordance with guidelines of Allah? Moreover, with respect to this sura, what are the characteristics of a sincere worshiper of Allah?



Appreciate your attention for broadening our viewpoints by discussing on different aspects of this great sura. Needless to mention that discovering new meanings and concepts of the surah  depends on sharing and debating our comprehensions of it.

    Firstly as I know there is no relationship between 114 Quran Surahs and their content. And ordinary people selected the names according to a distinct word in the Surah
        And You pointed to important points of this Surah which is "Din Khales" or Pure Religion. So that we can find important definitions of a sincere worshiper here in this Surah.like:

      Ayah 3> They don't choose guardians except Allah
    Ayah 7> They are thankful to Allah for their blessings.
    Ayah 8> They don't forget Allah when they don't have problem. All the time constantly they worship Allah

    • Thanks dear friend for your logical comments......it 's amazing to start with purifying ourselves for God first...however it is easier said than done...How should we start it? what are the steps to take to expand that purification procedures all through aspects of our social and spiritual features?!As far as I Know , purifying should be only for God and nothing else in three stages: 1) in one's beliefs  2) in one's moods and 3) in one's deeds including his physical actions as well as his tongue.... Moreover, one's thought and intention should be purifed..

    • Some important elements comes to my mind that I think they are necessary for purification:


    A. To want to change


    If we don't want or don't have inspiration to change nothing can affect us, I know these kind of people. Allah help all of us not to be in this group.


    B. Try to gain knowledge


    It's important to have knowledge in two aspects:


    I. Firstly know the reason that what is the goal of our creation and why we need to change for better?


    II. Then knowing that we need to learn what is good and what is bad, the people who think what they know is sufficient don’t have inspiration to know more and to change for better.


    One dangerous matter is that we think we are good people and what we know is enough. That's the time we stop. But actually we don't stop, we go back. Because the time is passing and our ice is melting ...a


    Something that may help, is to compare our soul needs with our body's


     


    A few hours ago I started to eat some peanuts,. A friend who studies Biotechnology, pointed to the yellow-brown color of inside of some of the peanuts and told me how the chemical changes that happened to it makes it poisonous and affects DNA and there for causes cancer. I was shocked!! How about if she didn't tell me this?? What are the dangers that can cause our soul to get cancer? to die? Shouldn't we rise up to know more about poisons?  m


    Should we wait for researchers to do their experiments, change their ideas, expire previous theories and every day give us a new life style suggestion for our soul remedy? Or start reading Quran,  an unchangeable source from our creator who knows everything.. all of our capacities and all of our obstacles? Because he is the one who created everything...  


    We ask God to help us be in the right path.


    These are all my ideas. Please correct me if I am wrong or incomplete

    this surah gives us a lot of signs to being a sincere worshiper
    undoubtedly is clear for every body but maybe GOD want to gives us  a complete collection of good characters for his believers  to be more thoughtful

    • As you mention it, we should have a high ambition as well as knowing how to reach our divine purification. Moreover, we should put our knowledge and understandings into practice in social fields for having higher accomplishments ... Just storing great abundance of information but not knowing where or when to use it seems inadequate and inefficient.    a

    Appreciate and look forward to receiving further comments on how we ourselves attempt and experience spiritual purification for Allah through ups and downs of life...what are your feasible experiences in this divine way....       a
